Mit Deutsch durchs Jahr is a perpetual language calendar without days of the week, but can be turned around in the middle of the year and used repeatedly.
The didactic idea behind it can be best described by the word “Edutainment”: the intention is not to teach language systematically, but to entertain using the target language. Involvement with the language in as many ways as possible encourages and promotes the learning process.
Each day has a useful tip or idea to help teachers get their lessons started.
Each day also has its own word: many of these words have special relevance for that particular day, others for the month or the season. On the other hand, there are words that could come anywhere. Included with the words are the most important points of grammar as well as an explanatory text on meaning and/or cultural and historical context.
Each day also has a word-search feature: a word to be discovered using Google.
