Target group: learners at elementary level wishing to study at a German university

Content: This single-volume course prepares students for university in one of the German-speaking countries and for the requisite entrance examination (ZMP, ZOP, TestDaF, DSH). Each of the eight chapters comprises three thematic units, an exhaustive grammar section with exercises and an optional consolidation feature with project work, additional texts and games. All reading and listening texts are authentic and encourage students to discuss topics of intercultural interest.
Academic methods of communication such as discussion and debate, presentation, giving a talk or making a summary are dealt with and practised intensively.
